Countries in ASEAN and South Asia has grown rapidly since the relocation of the global supply chain. Taiwan as an important member in the Asia-Pacific region, is highly connected to countries in South-East Asia economically. Reacting to the regional economic integration trend, Taiwan has proposed “The New Southbound Policy”, investing resources into developing partnerships with ASEAN, South Asia, Australia, New Zealand…and several 18 countries.

Taiwan and Vietnam has already established deep connections in economics and industry partnerships. 2022 is an important year to extend our progress in the past established by the Taiwan - Vietnam Industrial Collaboration forum and to fortify our partnership. “Smart City’ Is one of the most important projects that Taiwan is taking part alongside the developments of the Vietnam society.

2022, we will be holding “Taiwan-Vietnam Industrial collaboration forum - Smart City Applications Sub-Forum” online. Through researching and sharing the smart city projects in Taiwan and Vietnam, we aim to provide our partners and insight on future trends and the industry eco-system and the opportunity to go south-bound and establish co-operation between Taiwan and Vietnam.
