Teaching and Learning in Clinical Diagnosis: An AI-enhanced Tool(Virtual-DxM)
Course goal:
In this course, you will get to know the concepts of artificial intelligence medical education and why it is so important in today’s world. During the COVID-19 outbreak, stay at home and still keep up to all the trends about international medical education without going out. Don’t miss out this great opportunity!
Course overview:
The V-DxT with artificial intelligence and natural language processing was to trigger the problem-solving activities in a simulated clinical encounter. The innovated virtual patient (VP) “recognizes and understands” student’s inquiry, and reacts with voice and text in real time. Text or multimedia appeared in response to the requests of physical examination, laboratory tests and/or image studies. Based on the information obtained from the VP, students established their clinical reasoning and concluded with a list of diagnosis. Immediately after examination, test scores and feedback will be provided.
Course Outline:
1.Understanding the black boxes in medical diagnosis: the “clinical reasoning”
2.How to effectively teach and learn in clinical reasoning.
3.Medical simulation & Virtual simulation
4.V-DxM in training and assessment
5.Widespread uses of V-DxM
